Online Dance with Zoom

The dance center will be offering both in person classes and zoom (click here to visit the zoom website). You can choose to come into the studio for classes or take class from home. If the state or government mandates a stay at home order, we will go right into zoom for all.

Providing the right environment for zoom classes is important. Make a dance space for your dancer. A 6×6 area or bigger, a space they can move in. If taking ballet, the back of a chair can be used as a ballet barre. For tap (don’t let tappers tap on your wood floors or tile, it could cause damage.) Home depot carries a variety of sizes of plywood. A 3×3 or 4×4 piece of plywood works great as a tap floor.

Connecting a laptop or ipad to a television with an HDMI cable is best or casting from your device. It is best to make the teacher as big as possible

Students are required to follow the same rules as if in class. Students must be dressed in proper attire and hair properly done for class. No snacking during class. Dancers are expected to put in the same effort whether in person or zooming.

Parents it is your responsibility to make sure your dancer is ready for zoom at least 10 minutes before. The instructor will be checking for zoom students a few minutes before class starts and students must be there ready. The teacher will be running in person and zoom at the same time. Once class has started the teacher will not accept anyone else into class in person or zoom.

Tardiness is disruptive to the entire class and will not be tolerated or accepted.
